In the ever-evolving tapestry of our societal narrative, a phenomenon is gaining traction: the blending of our collective memory with contemporary concerns through the lens of the future. This emerging interplay among the past, the present, and the future propels us into a realm where nostalgia becomes a dynamic force, not just reminiscing about what once was but actively shaping our response to current challenges.

Fuelled by technological advancements, the adaptation to changing environmental needs, and a more proactive ethical approach, this blending of collective memory and contemporary concerns becomes a catalyst for introspection. The convergence of the past and future unfolds as a striking proposal, where memories intertwine with the pressing issues of today. This relationship invites us to explore how our shared history, seen through the lens of Artificial Intelligence and art, informs our responses to the complex problems that define our contemporary landscape.
AI art serves as a storytelling instrument to inform and inspire humankind’s cultural fabric; through the use of narration, individuals are called to connect, empathizing with ongoing issues. Australian artist Henryk Lobaczewski takes inspiration from the colour palette typical of the ’70s, blending it with the emergence of contemporary challenges regarding the urban environment and the imperative urgency to protect the primary sources belonging to Planet Earth.

Selecting retro-inspired and pale hues to apply to the gemstones, the designer creates a metaphor echoing both the solid purposes we are engaging with and, at the same time, the resolute and hopeful atmosphere pervading our mindset.
