In the last few years, contemporary society has been largely affected by break-neck speed, grounded inside the cultural and existential habits of its citizens.
This acceleration in sharing information and constructing our new modality of perceiving what we call “knowledge”, is likely to expand with the arrival of the Web3.
On the other hand, a counter-perspective generated by the inquietude that this turbulent and hyper-experimental era has sparked, is now taking prominence.
Characterized by a more quiet and contemplative temperament, our desire to experience what the world has to offer will bond with our past inextricably.
Humanity will patiently dig inside personal, unique memories in order to gain a stronger sensitivity for experience emotions. Borrowing tenacity from our loved ones and figures who contributed to shape the confines of our personal story, will make us delve into autobiographical trips as part of our daily activity.
Ukrainian photographer Boris Mikhailov dedicated most of his work to revive the political and social consequences that the presence of the Soviet Union, alongside its collapse, had played inside his homeland.

With the intention of twisting the conventional meaning assigned to the aesthetic codes and traditional habits of that period, he relies on the choice of an oneiric, yet hyper-real perspective; the delicate alteration of colours present inside his photography drives us to perceive how resilience and fanciful inventiveness are core to his narration of memory.
