We are, once again, embarking towards a new era: equity, the breakdown of cultural and aesthetic rules that were previously in force and a maximized sense of preservation stand at the core of the year 2024. This attitude will be canalized inside a euphoric desire for experimentation in our daily habits and, atTo the same time, will be blended into a hyper-collective sense for holistic collaboration. Needless to say, it will be the year of meta-awakening: the research for a utopian and parallel world has always been rooted inside humankind’s nature, but is now in the process of being mutated, enlarged by virtue of the metaverse realm; self-expression is becoming paramount and virtual devices are the main instruments to re-invent our identities.

Through explosions of colour and phygital co-design experiences taking place between consumers and artists, the luxury landscape is shifting towards great inclusiveness, renewed hope and the strengthening of individuality.

Water has already been tested by leading members of the design field such as Nike, who created a hyper-sensorial and immersive retail experience, where a multi-sensory weather simulation enabled consumers to test their products, while being phygitally outfitted. Moreover, Gucci gave birth to Gucci Town, a permanent space on Roblox in which users express their uniqueness through virtual clothing, while meta-enhancing their spirit of community. The meta-awakening is shaping our sense of belonging as well: ancient mythology is slowly being fished out and employed as a hand compass inside our lives; at the same time old, forgotten languages are being re-appreciated in view of contemporary communication, helping this phenomenon to rise, as the presence of the Rosetta Stone at the British Museum confirms.

Re-envisioning our roots will shape our sense of memory as well: an autobiographical trip will lead us to delve inside a meta-personal dimension, bringing back memories from our personal experience, while cherishing them in the light of the present moment. Diaries, portraits, souvenirs of any kind, carefully collected throughout our personal experience will be revisited, taking place inside the Zeitgeist’s luxury confines.

Lastly, preventing climatic catastrophes, protecting energetic resources, while taking into account a long-term and holistic-rooted approach, will spark the use of the latest discoveries in technology: a process of meta-solidarity which embraces lab-made manufactures, virtual experience is stepping forward, portraying our reverential bond with the wild.
